Connecting To The Present Moment

How do you connect to the present moment during the craziness of your day with cell phones buzzing and beeping, emails pinging, children calling, Zoom meetings awaiting…… By taking a few moments to get grounded in this present moment, being aware of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. By hitting the mute button for a moment.

We think that we are living in the present moment, but connecting to it is not easy. Especially with all of our devices and demands on us. We are connected to the everything and everyone 24/7. Our thoughts are often rooted in the past or worrying about the future and we miss this perfect moment.

Try this simple and powerful tool, 16Seconds, that I have recorded in the audio to help you step away from the demands on you, from the past, from the worries of the future and get grounded in this present moment. By introducing a pattern interrupt, you can more easily move beyond the stress, anxiety, and doubt and into a place of peace and calm. Your thoughts will be clearer and you will be less constricted, more receptive and responsive, and open to new possibilities.

Close your eyes and take a long, slow, deep breath in to the count of four. Hold for the count of four. Slowly exhale and release to the count of four. Hold to the count of four. As you do this watch your breath, witness your breath. That was 16econds. When you take your next breath you will be calmer and clearer.

Try this several times throughout the day. You can take it a little deeper by repeating it several times and before you know it you will have meditated for a few minutes!!!

Let me know how it goes.:)
